Our Story
A Firm Founded on Care, Clarity, and Family
Ratchada Niti was established to serve families in Thailand who need thoughtful legal guidance during some of life's most personal moments.
Back to HomeOur Background
How Ratchada Niti Came to Be
Ratchada Niti was established in Bangkok by a small group of Thai lawyers who had each spent years in larger commercial firms before concluding that the families they most wanted to serve were not well looked after in those settings. Inheritance matters — questions of who inherits what, how a family home is transferred, how a parent's wishes are made binding — these rarely fit neatly into the structures built for corporate transactions.
The firm opened on Chang Lo Road with a particular focus: to accompany Thai families and families with assets in Thailand through the legal side of inheritance, succession planning, and estate administration. The work is personal by nature. A will does not represent a business decision; it represents a person's considered wishes for the people they love. Ratchada Niti takes that seriously.
Over the years, the firm has assisted families navigating straightforward successions and others facing far more involved questions — contested estates, cross-border assets, property held through multiple arrangements, families with both Thai and foreign members. Each situation has reinforced the same principle: careful attention to the facts of a particular family's circumstances produces better outcomes than applying a standard formula.
The firm remains small by intention. Every engagement is handled personally by a qualified member of the team, not passed to junior staff. Clients receive written records after significant discussions, clear fee outlines before any commitment, and steady access to the same adviser throughout their matter.

How We Work
Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Each engagement is conducted according to the same careful standards, regardless of the complexity of the matter.
Thai Bar Qualifications
All advisers hold current Thai Bar Association membership and carry professional indemnity coverage appropriate to the nature of our work.
Written Summaries at Every Stage
After each consultation and at each key decision point, a written summary is prepared and shared. No significant matter proceeds on verbal understanding alone.
Strict Client Confidentiality
Information shared during an engagement is held in confidence. Secure document management and restricted file access are standard practice across the firm.
Transparent Fee Structures
Fees for each service are stated clearly before any engagement begins. For longer matters, a cost outline is provided at each phase so families are never uncertain about where they stand.
Continuity of Adviser
The same qualified person handles a matter from beginning to end. Clients are not transferred to other members of staff mid-engagement without their knowledge and consent.
Adherence to Thai Legal Standards
All advice reflects current Thai civil and commercial code, inheritance law, and land title practice. Guidance is regularly reviewed as legislation and court interpretations develop.
Inheritance Counsel Grounded in Thai Legal Practice
The transfer of assets from one generation to the next is among the most significant legal events a family will navigate. In Thailand, this process is governed by the Civil and Commercial Code, which sets out clear rules on heirs, shares, and the handling of estates where a will does and does not exist. Families who plan ahead — who take the time to set out their wishes in proper documentation — tend to find the process far smoother for those they leave behind.
At Ratchada Niti, our work covers the full range of inheritance-related legal matters: initial consultations for families who are uncertain where to begin, succession planning and trust arrangements for those who want their affairs well ordered, and comprehensive estate representation for matters that require sustained professional involvement. Each service is carried out with the same level of personal attention, regardless of scale.
Bangkok families often come to us following the passing of a relative, when the immediate question is what steps to take and in what order. Equally, many clients engage us years in advance, wanting to ensure their own estate is properly arranged so that loved ones are not left with unnecessary complications. Both approaches are valid, and we support both with the same thorough, calm guidance.
The firm's location on Chang Lo Road in Bang Yi Khan places us within easy reach of Bangkok's central districts while maintaining the quieter, more considered atmosphere that inheritance matters call for. Consultations are conducted in a private setting and, where families prefer, can be arranged at times outside standard working hours by prior appointment.
